Children & Young People Development Officer - fixed term contract until 31.3.13 - Service HQ, Clyst St George
Salary: £22,958 - £26,276 (subject to job evaluation)
Essential requirements include: a high level of self motivation and innovation; organisational, time management and communication skills; excellent ICT skills; ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, willingness to work occasionally outside core hours when required. Proven experience of working effectively with young people is essential; an understanding of Youth Services agenda or an up to date knowledge of educational system is also essential. The role is mainly office based and involves the creation, development and management of resources, processes and procedures to ensure the Fire & Rescue Service is implementing better practise and fulfilling its outcomes. HOME-START EXETER AND EAST DEVON
Organiser - permanent, initially 20 hrs/wk
Salary: £19,621 pa pro rata
Due to an award from the Big Lottery's Reaching Communities programme we are currently seeking an Organiser. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, supervising and supporting a team of Home-Start volunteers, working within a multi-agency environment. Parenting experience and an understanding of the needs of families is essential. Experience of working with families or volunteers would be an advantage.
